14 commissioners appointed by the Governor oversee the work of ACDHH:

One parent of a Deaf or Hard of Hearing child

One member from the Arizona Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf

One licensed hearing aid dispenser

One clinical audiologist representative

One representative from the Arizona Department of Economic Security

One representative from the Arizona State Schools for the Deaf and the Blind

For the first time in State history the Arizona Commission for the Deaf and the Hard of Hearing (ACDHH) in conjunction with the Citizens Clean Elections Commission will provide sign language interpreters at all primary and general election legislative debates throughout Arizona. The addition of sign language interpreters will empower people with hearing loss to participate freely in the election process. The first of 16 legislative debates will be Tuesday, June 24 in Goodyear.

The ACDHH office will be undergoing some remodeling that will impact our library. The library will be closed from May 23rd until August 11th.
