Job Description:
The Embrace Life team is actively looking for the right applicant to fill our Director for the Deaf position. It is required for the applicant to know American Sign Language proficiently in order to oversee our deaf department efficiently. The candidate shall be able to use analytic skills and understanding of the organization and the business in order to handle arising problems and issues. Positively demonstrates leadership skills to be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of resident care, marketing, HCBS and Day services, and general maintenance. Be able to direct and carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Embrace Life policies and applicable licensing laws with Arizona Department Health and Safety. This position will report to the Chief Executive Officer.
The Director will work with four current residential coordinators, a day program supervisor, a quality of care staff/ supervisor, trainer/ behavior plan author, and an administrative assistant. Director will also communicate with other directors that has deaf members in hearing programs to maintain communication and share up to date information to the deaf members and employees.
