Wanted Landscape General Maintenance member to create beautiful environments by providing landscape maintenance support to a variety of industrial, commercial, and/or public properties. You would be required to safely operate commercial grade landscaping equipment and ensure the upkeep of plant material and other landscaping elements, among other tasks. Job Skills and Responsibilities: • Cut turf using various sized power mowers, trimming, and edging using gas powered edger/trimmer, and operating gas-powered blowers • Properly and safely prune shrubs and low trees as needed to improve the shape or growth habit or to remove damaged branches • Plant and maintain flower beds • Properly and safely operate the edger and line trimmer along sidewalks, flower beds, trees, buildings, fences, and other objects • Pick up trash and blow leaves and other organic debris on to the turf before mowing. Mulch the leaves and organic matter when mowing. • Perform weeding by hand or using a garden hoe or hula hoe • Installs sod and plant material • Assists with lawn area grading via digging, trenching, and excavating • Must be able to work year-round in the Arizona climate. • Maintain a polite, friendly, responsive demeanor with customers and coworkers • Other duties as assigned • Reliable and dependable • Must have reliable transportation to and from work • Must be able to follow company safety policies. • Self-Starter, punctual, and dependable. • Completes all tasks within time expectations. Training Program: 30 Days: First 30 days is spent training on push mowing, trimming, blowing, & cleanup, etc. Pay starts at $13 per hour. At 30 days with signoff from Supervisor, pay will advance to $14. 60 Days: 60 days will be next level training with hedge trimmers, walker rider mowers, detail, and self-starter orientation. 90 Days: At 90 days with signoff from Supervisor, pay will advance to $15 Assignment to regular crew. You must not miss any days of work, be late to work, and must be performing the work as given during the training period to qualify for increases. Monthly Bus passes will be included if needed. If work is missed, the bus pass will be repaid out of next check.
