OVERVIEW
We are seeking a skilled and empathetic Licensed Counselor to provide direct services to Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and Deaf-Blind individuals. This role involves counseling, case management, and advocacy in areas such as vocation, life management, personal growth, and mental health concerns. This role requires fluency in American Sign Language and possession of a strong commitment to serving the Deaf community.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Conduct mental health evaluations and assessments for individuals of all ages within the Deaf community, under the supervision of a licensed professional.
Provide intake services, including completing necessary forms and presenting information at weekly intake meetings.
Offer individual, family, and group counseling, with a focus on addressing domestic violence, women's issues, parenting, and other relevant topics.
Maintain accurate case records and documentation for each client.
Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Suitable work experience may be considered as transferable skills in order to meet minimum requirements of the position and will be considered by the Executive Director of Human Resources.
Master Degree in Counseling, Rehabilitation, Social Work, or related field
LPC, LISW, LAC or NBCC credential(s)
Fluency in American Sign Language
2 years of experience working with Deaf, Hard of Hearing and/or Deaf-Blind individuals in a professional capacity
REGULATORY
Must be at least 18 years of age
Valid driver license, proof of insurance, and 39-month motor vehicle report
Ability to obtain and maintain Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card and FBI National Criminal Records History Report (employer paid)
Pass pre-employment drug screen (incudes marijuana, regardless of recreational use laws) (employer paid)
