DeafBlind
- ACDHH provides DeafBlind and Combined Vision and Hearing Loss (CVHL) consumers with supports to empower, promote independence, and access to community while working other agencies and organizations to increase and expand opportunities to improve the quality of life for people with combined vision and hearing loss. Family Services
- ACDHH is a central resource and support for children who are Deaf, Hard of Hearing or DeafBlind and their families. ACDHH Family and Youth Services work with various organizations and systems throughout the state to ensure that families have access to eligible services through system navigation and connection to community resources towards raising successful Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and DeafBlind Children. Commission Overview

ACDHH’s Board is comprised of 14 commissioners appointed by the Governor who oversee the work of the agency. If reappointed, Representatives can serve two consecutive 3 year terms.

Four Deaf representatives (including DeafBlind)
Four Hard of Hearing representatives (including CVHL)
One parent of a Deaf or Hard of Hearing child
One member who is a licensed sign language interpreter
One licensed hearing aid dispenser
One clinical audiologist representative
One representative from the Arizona Department of Economic Security
One representative from the Arizona State Schools for the Deaf and the Blind

Commission Vacancies

The Governor is currently accepting applications for vacant Commissioner positions on the ACDHH board. We are currently looking for 1 Hearing Aid Dispenser representative, 2 Hard of Hearing or CVHL representatives, 2 Deaf or DeafBlind representatives, and have a few apponintments for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Commissioners that may be available in the near future.
