ACDHH is a state agency that serves any citizen in Arizona. Deaf, Hard of Hearing, Speech Challenged, interpreter and hearing alike are all ACDHH consumers.
Yes, ACDHH provides trainings on a variety of topics. The variety of topics include: deaf culture, ADA rights, understanding assistive technology, cultural sensitivity, hearing loss tips, interpreter licensure, and equipment distribution. To arrange for a training or presentation please see the services tab and select the corresponding service to contact the specialist for that area.
The only service with an associated fee is interpreter licensure. All other services provided are done so at no cost to the consumer including our equipment distribution program (AzTEDP).

ACDHH is open Monday through Friday, from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.
17% of the Arizona population has a hearing loss. Over 1.1 million Arizonans are hard of hearing and more than 20,000 people in Arizona are culturally Deaf.
2.2 our of 1,000 babies in Arizona are born with hearing loss and typically, that number doubles when they reach the age of 6.
